Pretty Good Road

We built this 8’ x 10’ x 2’ deep pond with an 8’ waterfall & stream during the Caldor Fire in August 2021. On some mornings the smoke was so thick we had a hard time seeing very far past our work site, but the show must go on. During construction of the house, this planter must have been used to dump unused building materials, because we unearthed and hauled off lots of waste before we could build our pond. All in all, everything turned out pretty well, considering the circumstances. The rocks came from a local quarry, and the California native plants from our nursery.
