Coyote Pass Road

Coyote Pass Road

This is the second project we did during the Caldor Fire in September 2021. We dismantled a small failing pond and enlarged it with new liner, a skimmer, larger pump, automatic fill system, fish cave, irrigation and California native plants. We had to marry it to a very shallow and narrow stream which had been mortared in years before.

“Verne, Juan and Rodrigo, It has been truly amazing to watch you work… We gave you some extra challenges in asking you to work with and around our old feature. I must admit I was somewhat overwhelmed when you began bringing in your equipment and supplies. I had no idea it would involve the depth and level of work you put in. Another special part of the project was hearing and seeing you interact with each other to make sure things looked just right. Your laughter and conversation made it obvious that you enjoy the work you do. Your artistry, creativity and hard work has paid off in a very special way. I am so pleased to have a sparkling pond, artfully placed stone, and refreshing sound of water in my back yard. I know we will enjoy it for years to come. Also, I want to thank you for continuing to work with me on tweaking the balance between my upper fall and lower fall. You are truly a masterful gardener of water, stones and plants.”
