We’ve been working on this project in between the atmospheric rivers passing through northern California this winter (2023-24). This Pondless Waterfall is 30′ long, with a 3′ elevation change. So the waterfalls are not too tall, but we tried to make them interesting. In between the falls, we created large pooling areas for birds & bees. We began the job by removing 150′ of failing cinderblock retaining walls & tall Junipers, and replacing them with staggered moss covered boulders. We plan to landscape the 3,000+ sq. ft. area with California native plants, and set up a 12′ x 14′ Amish Gazebo. It will be tied together with winding gravel paths, lined with the same moss rock borders, and lit with low voltage LED lights.
